Janice Wong opens first airport store at Singapore Changi T3

ASIA PACIFIC. Singaporean pastry chef Janice Wong officially opened her first airport concession this week at Changi Airport Terminal 3.

The store, located in concourse space below the business lounges, features a selection of Janice Wong’s signature products alongside three special edition chocolate bars, made exclusively for Changi Airport. The latter are available in three artisanal flavours; Ruby Chocolate, Sea Salt and Palm Sugar. These will be exclusively available from June.

The Janice Wong brand, which is fast building a reputation beyond its Singapore home, makes its airport debut.

The partners said in a statement: “With the aim to stay ahead of the game in the fast-changing retail landscape of the travel industry, Changi Airport constantly innovates and creates new concepts to inject vitality to its retail offerings. Through pioneering fresh retail experiences with its concession partners, Changi Airport is an exceptional platform for brands to showcase their latest products to the world.”

The launch at T3 sees the introduction of Janice Wong’s signature Chocolate Crayon Box Set (eight pieces and 40 pieces), Chocolate Paint Jar Set (five pieces) and Signature Tea (collection of five). Other Janice Wong products include the Chocolate Boxes (Signature 5, Signature 9, Assorted 9, Assorted 16 and Assorted 25), Single Origin Chocolate Bar and her Cookie and Lollipop varieties (seven and eight varieties respectively).

A dash of colour: The range features many signature Singapore flavours, adding Sense of Place to the gifting offer.

Janice Wong’s signature Bon Bons are another highlight, with pre-packed items available in single or two pieces as a grab-and-go concept. Among the signature Singaporean flavours are Gula Melaka Pandan, Kopi (Coffee), Laksa Leaf Lemongrass and BBQ Bakkwa Pork Praline Poprocks.

The flavours are pre-selected and will be rotated every week, “allowing travellers to have a hassle-free and customisable retail experience to bring home a taste of Singapore,” said the brand owner.
