Furla will launch its Spring/Summer 2019 collection, which includes the Mimì crossbody, at the forthcoming TFWA World Exhibition (Village Bay, Bay 2).
Furla says the new bag has “already distinguished itself as one of the brand’s top creations”. It features a large, full body flap and is available in small and mini sizes.
Furla Mimì aims to offer innovative design, functionality and convertibility. Its chain link strap, which ends with a leather insert, slides through rings on the top of the bag, to offer both crossbody and shoulder bag styles.
Mimì’s features include a flat pocket at the back and a grosgrain-lined interior, with a small open pocket. The bag is available in a range of colours including Ruby, Lime, Mandarin, Camellia, Chalk and Onyx.
Materials include Bouclé calfskin, Vacchetta (Furla’s vegetable-tanned leather), python, and calf leather, smooth and studded. Furla said attention to detail characterises the Mimì design, which lends itself to and complements the various leathers used.
Furla Global Travel Retail Director Gerry Munday said: “I am looking forward to introducing the Spring/Summer 2019 collection to our retail partners in Cannes. With a full schedule of interviews booked already, it certainly looks like it’s going to be a busy week.”
