Interparfums has launched Coach Platinum masculine fragrance into travel retail. A global rollout is ongoing.

The scent was created by perfumer Bruno Jovanovic who said he wanted to capture “the Coach man” – a New Yorker who loves to travel.

Coach said both the fragrance and its flacon reflect “the bold character of the Coach man”.

He explained: “I wanted to create a perfume capable of expressing the elegance of a man who likes to escape from New York and at the same time feels a unique need to return to it.”

Top notes are black pepper, pineapple and juniper. At the heart are cashmeran, sage and geranium. Patchouli and sandalwood join vanilla to form the base.

The campaign tells the story of a road trip that begins and ends in New York City.

A reflective silver bottle, which becomes semi-transparent under light, is engraved with the Coach emblem of horse and carriage. A ‘hood’ detail recalls a turnlock clasp that has become a signature of Coach handbags. A leather dog tag references the brand’s reputation for luxury leathergoods.

Coach Platinum EDP is available in 100ml and 60ml sizes.
