Interest builds for FAB 2020; hotel and speaker details imminent

TURKEY. With Istanbul having been unveiled as the host city for the annual Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) Conference & Awards 2020, preparations are well underway for what promises to be a spectacular event.

The official venue and hotels will be announced in coming days along with first details of a typically powerful speakers’ line-up.

By bringing together the best in international airport dining alongside outstanding Turkish cuisine and the country’s rich culture, the joint hosts Istanbul Airport & Tum & Ictur aim to showcase the magnificent new Istanbul hub and Turkey to the world.

FAB 2020 will begin with a half-day session (preceded by an airport tour) and the Opening Cocktail on 23 June. Day 2 will feature a full-day conference, culminating with a celebration of excellence in airport dining at the FAB Awards Gala dinner.

Nominations for the 2020 FAB Awards close on 6 April, after which our independent panel of judges will determine the international and regional winners. For more information on the awards, click here.

ABOUT FAB 2020

FAB, conceived, owned and organised by The Moodie Davitt Report, is the only event dedicated to the burgeoning airport food & beverage business. Since its launch in 2011, FAB has flourished and become the key global gathering for a constantly evolving sector, serving as a litmus test of its challenges, opportunities and quality aspirations.

FAB 2020 will be hosted by Istanbul Airport and Tum & Ictur, the concessionaire managing 34,000sq m of food & beverage space at the Istanbul gateway. The event, held on 23-24 June, will be a showcase for the magnificent new hub, which opened in April 2019. It will bring together senior executives from airports and food & beverage concessionaires worldwide as well as varied industry partners, including design agencies, research companies and technology providers.

The conference programme will showcase the latest F&B developments, innovations and trends at major airports, featuring presentations by some of the world’s leading airport commercial directors, concessionaires, chefs, key industry opinion leaders and analysts.
