Interchange captures foreign exchange services contract at Prague Vaclav Havel Airport

CZECH REPUBLIC. The Interchange Group has been awarded a new five-year contract to manage foreign exchange services, including ATMs, tax free refunds and related financial services at Prague Vaclav Havel International Airport. This extends and widens the existing Interchange airport contract, which started in January 2016.

Interchange Czech Republic Country Director Marek Nacovsky said: “We are delighted to be entrusted with the new lease and we aim to continue to build on our service excellence. We are particularly proud of the fact that during the bidding process, we scored the maximum 100 points.”

Group CEO Alastair Holberton added: “It is a fantastic outcome, securing our dominant position in this market.”

Prague Airport: Crucial contract gain for Interchange in a key region for its business.

Interchange added in a statement that the award was “a huge testament to all of the hard work that the Interchange Czech team has put in over the past two years and confirmation of the confidence that the airport has in Interchange”.

Prague Airport Director of Non-Aviation Business Jiri Petrzilka said: “Interchange belongs to our group of globally experienced partners that are able to provide above-standard services, such as ordering currency online, tax refunds, ATM services and a buy-back guarantee service for the original exchange rate. This is all part of what we considered when we were choosing the new provider of exchange services at Prague Airport.”

Interchange is the largest foreign exchange retail operator in the Czech Republic with over 25 years of experience in the country. In Central and Eastern Europe it operates at Vienna, Budapest and Bratislava airports, as well as several locations in Poland.

Prague Vaclav Havel Airport will handle an estimated 16.8 million passengers in 2018, with volumes forecast to rise to 21 million by 2025.
