Inter Parfums unveils First Instinct Sheer by Abercrombie & Fitch

Inter Parfums has launched the latest extension to the Abercrombie & Fitch First Instinct range. First Instinct Sheer is described as a fragrance for women who “trust their passions and follow their feelings”.

The new perfume will launch in-store in February 2019.

Introducing First Instinct Sheer: Designed to evoke ‘solar florals, balmy days and warm smiles’.

The fragrance blends top notes of bergamot, pink pepper and air accord with orange flower, hibiscus and Lily of the Valley. Its base notes are musk, creamy woods and amber.

First Instinct Sheer was created by International Flavour & Fragrances (IFF) Vice President and Senior Perfumer Jean-Marc Challain, and IFF Perfumer Celine Barel.

“For First Instinct Sheer, we wanted to capture a fresh, sun-drenched radiance that sparks an instant feeling of joy and captivation,” they said. The fragrance, they added, “evokes solar florals, balmy days and warm smiles”.

The First Instinct Sheer bottle was designed by Fabrice Legros of Studio Pi. He said he aimed to combine simplicity (glass and metal), femininity, heritage (a champagne metal plaque is a note to the A&F legacy), quality, and sensuality.

“I was inspired by a soft shape that curls up in the hand, and envisioned the bottle to be multi-sensorial,” he added.

First Instinct Sheer follows Abercrombie & Fitch’s First Instinct Blue, launched in August, and First Instinct for Women, which was released last year.

First Instinct Sheer will be on-shelf by February 2019.
