Incheon Airport awards SME concession to The Grand Duty Free

SOUTH KOREA. Incheon International Airport Corporation today awarded its DF11 duty free contract at T1’s Passenger Terminal Building to The Grand Duty Free (Daegu Grand Duty Free), according to a reliable senior Korean duty free source.

The concession, open only to Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs), involves perfumes and cosmetics and a range of general merchandise.

The Grand Duty Free is the country’s number one SME duty free retailer. It operates several travel retail stores, including at the Daegu Grand Hotel in downtown Daegu.

As revealed by The Moodie Davitt Report earlier this week, the retailer narrowly lost out on the Cheongju International Airport duty free concession to Dooje Industrial Development Co.

The Grand Duty Free’s business includes the Daegu Grand Hotel (pictured) and Daegu Airport as well as a thriving online business.
