Imperial Tobacco General Manager Global Duty Free and Export Andreas Lemke has left the company.
Director Sales and Marketing Global Duty Free and Export Christian Münstermann, Director Corporate Affairs and Compliance Dr. Jennifer Cords and Director Finance Andrew Heley will take over his duties with immediate effect.
Lemke, whose travel retail career spans over 20 years, joined Reemtsma (acquired by Imperial in 2002) in 1997 from British American Tobacco (BAT). In 2012 he was named General Manager of Imperial’s duty free department. During his time at Imperial he built the company’s duty free presence in Hong Kong and inspired his team and business partners to “truly think and work global”.
Lemke represented Imperial on the boards of UKTRF and the German Duty Free Association.
Lemke said: “Our business environment changes and we have to adapt to external circumstances. I would like to acknowledge the contributions and leadership of my management team.”
