Imperial Tobacco announces changes to Americas and export businesses

Imperial Tobacco has announced changes to its Americas regional and export businesses.

Following the full integration of Global Export into the Global Duty Free structure, the company will split its Western Europe duty free region/Americas businesses.

Jose Rubiralta will lead the newly created Americas region and will continue to coordinate the export business globally. Herman Ten Have, Regional Manager for Western Europe and the Americas, will leave Imperial Tobacco Duty Free.

Rubiralta formerly worked as Export Director at Imperial Tobacco, overseeing machine made cigars, export sales and operations.

Imperial Tobacco Director Sales and Marketing Global Duty Free and Export Christian Münstermann said: “We would like to thank Herman Ten Have for his great achievements in both regions, Americas and Western Europe and his great passion for duty free.”

Imperial Tobacco Director Corporate Affairs and Compliance Dr. Jennifer Cords commented: “On the one hand it is with great regret to announce that Herman Ten Have leaves the business, but on the other hand we are pleased to announce that Jose Rubiralta has been appointed the new Regional Manager for Americas.”

Münstermann added: “This structural change gives us the opportunity to have a bigger focus on the Americas business with all its challenges and chances and at the same time further exploit the export opportunities around the world.”
