VIETNAM. Today’s choice comes from Da Nang, where Lotte Duty Free is exhibiting a 7-metre high ‘Belly Bear’ sculpture.

The Korean travel retailer believes the installation will add fun to the shopping experience while also familiarising overseas visitors with the Lotte Duty Free brand as they visit the Da Nang store.

Belly Bear – a popular K-character – is positioned within the outdoor plaza in front of VVMall, site of Lotte Duty Free Danang City. The exhibition runs until 19 May.

Lotte Duty Free is extremely bullish about prospects for duty free in Vietnam but for now it is celebrating a distinctive bear market

After customers have their picture taken with Belly Bear, Lotte Duty Free provides a photo printing service along with a travel pouch to those who leave proof of the image on their personal SNS. Free gifts are given out on a first-come, first-served basis at the information desk.
