Screen idol: Huang Xuan discovers a new kind of Extraordinary Mission

Shiseido last week unveiled what the Japanese beauty house dubbed the ‘ultimate’ pop-up to celebrate Ultimune Power Infusing Eye Concentrate at China Duty Free Group’s magnificent Haitang Bay retail complex on Hainan Island*.

The Shiseido Red Ginza Street pop-up invited guests to ‘check into the future’ of skincare. The activation featured a dazzling blend of beauty and technology, including interactive digital games, where travelling customers could win some of Shiseido’s ultimate travel essentials.

There was plenty of star power on show too. The pop-up was launched with Shiseido’s new brand ambassador, Chinese actor Huang Xuan, renowned for his leading roles in blockbuster movies such as Blind Massage, The Legend of Mi Yue, The Interpreter and Extraordinary Mission, who visited the Shiseido boutique and tried the new digital vending machine.
