Image of the day: Promoting pride at Stockholm Arlanda

Our daily feature celebrates memorable scenes, moments, launches and campaigns from the global aviation and travel retail sphere.

Today’s photo was taken earlier today in Sweden. It captures how Stockholm Arlanda Airport and parent company Swedavia are participating in Stockholm Pride for the eighth consecutive year.

“Swedavia works proactively and with great focus every day of the year for an inclusive and prejudice-free company,” the airport operator said. “Swedavia’s explicit approach is to ensure that employees, customers and passengers all feel good and can be themselves at Swedavia.”

To underline that philosophy in gloriously colourful fashion, the rainbow flag was hoisted this morning at Stockholm Arlanda Airport to signal the start of the city’s annual Pride Festival.

“For the people who work at Swedavia, it is a given that we help promote diversity and inclusion and the work that Stockholm Pride represents. Swedavia needs to attract talent that reflects society and is convinced that differences enrich us and lead to better operations,” said Stockholm Arlanda Airport Director Peder Grunditz.

In a troubled, divisive and often prejudiced world, The Moodie Davitt Report salutes and echoes those sentiments.
