Image of the day: Getting to the heart of Kiehl’s in Hainan (and beyond)

L’Oréal-owned skincare brand Kiehl’s has been delighting travellers across Asia Pacific with the bright colours and good vibes of its ‘Kiehl’s Loves’ campaign.

In this striking image, South Korean Singer Hwang Chi-Yeul sits beneath a huge yellow Kiehl’s balloon that celebrates the launch of the campaign last month in Hainan.

The theme of this year’s annual campaign is ‘Kiehl’s loves around the world’, and Hainan was the first of nine locations chosen for travel-themed travel retail activations. The others (all in Asia Pacific) are Bangkok, Jeju, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

As well as ‘global explorer’ Hwang Chi-Yeul, Kiehl’s appointed a celebrity ‘city host’ for five of the nine destinations: Hainan, Beijing, Shanghai, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

The campaign brought – or will bring – an engaging range of offers to each location, from travel retail exclusives featuring the campaign aesthetics to themed rooms and digital booths. Read our full report here.
