Image of the Day: Festive flair from Delhi and Incheon

Our daily feature celebrates memorable scenes, moments, launches and campaigns from the global aviation and travel retail sphere.

Travel retail does not stop for Christmas and so today’s multiple images all have a festive theme as we capture some compelling examples of seasonal celebrations.

The giant Christmas tree at Incheon International Airport (photo courtesy of Hyun Lee from Incheon advertising concessionaire Dong-A) certainly makes a seasonal statement.

So does the giant Christmas tree outside Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, a 101-feet structure, made of over 20,000 Christmas ornaments and 8 lakh (800,000) pieces of pipine grass. According to the Financial Express 80 men worked round the clock for over two weeks to create this. Our final image also comes from Delhi, this time from the hard-working team at Delhi Duty Free Services as they add plenty of festive cheer to the thriving retail operation.
