Image of the day: Brut but beautiful force from Piper-Heidsieck

Piper-Heidsieck Cuvée Brut Lipstick Edition: Brilliant in every sense.

As I walked over towards the Duty Zero by cdf duty free liquor arrivals store at Hong Kong International Airport yesterday, I noticed a young woman taking pictures of what appeared to be a lipstick promotion, writes Martin Moodie.

How so? After all, The Shilla Duty Free’s nearby Beauty&You store has exclusivity on beauty items. The answer became clear once I approached the display. The ‘lipstick’ was Piper-Heidsieck Cuvée Brut Lipstick Edition, first launched in 2017 and now on promotion in the run-up to Chinese New Year. It was the first time I had seen the product and, judging by the number of photos the traveller below took, the first time she had. As instagrammable a duty free product as I have ever seen.

The lipstick design, I have since learned, is intended to showcase the Champagne house’s ‘Dash of Seduction’ philosophy. It does that in beautiful style – and with Brut force.

 

Lip-smackingly good Champagne.
