AMERICAS. The International Association of Airport and Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) has opened bookings for space at its 2023 Summit of the Americas, which takes place in Palm Beach on 16-19 April.
The event returns to a more traditional format featuring an exhibition hall and a limited number of private exhibition/meeting rooms. IAADFS said there will be a “more streamlined” education programme with a morning and afternoon session on each of Monday and Tuesday.
Morning sessions will run before the opening of the exhibition hall, reducing the amount of time that attendees must select between attending sessions versus attending meetings, and increasing the amount of time that exhibitors may attend conference sessions. IAADFS said it is also expanding the base of eligible buyer attendees “to reflect the evolving nature of the duty free and travel retail industry”.
“We received very positive feedback about the quality of buyers in 2022 and the fact that they were serious decision-makers who were at the Summit to do business,” commented IAADFS President and CEO Michael Payne.
He added: “Since no other event brings together such a focused and high- quality sampling of the duty free and travel retail industry in the Americas and Caribbean, we’re really looking forward to providing this excellent opportunity for our industry to meet, network, learn from one another, and conduct business.”
Registration and accommodation booking will open this month and announced to the industry.
Companies interested in requesting space for the 2023 Summit of the Americas may download the exhibitor information kit from www.iaadfs.org/2023Exhibitor for more information. Previous exhibitors have already been sent the 2023 exhibitor information kit and should submit their space requests by Friday 16 September.
