INDIA. Hyderabad Duty Free has launched its first ‘Duty Free Utsav’ promotion. Utsav is derived from the Sanskrit term Utsava, meaning a festival or other celebratory occasion.
Discounts of up to -15% are available on various products, along with gifts and offers on purchases.
The retailer is giving customers the chance to win a Nissan Terrano SUV, which is on display at the Arrivals store at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad.
The promotion features discount coupons that can be collected at the Departures store and redeemed at the Arrivals shop. These offer an additional discount of up to -15%.
Hyderabad Duty Free is handing out surprise vouchers to passengers arriving on selected flights. These can be redeemed with purchases above a certain threshold at the Arrivals store.
“The thought process behind coming up with the ‘Duty Free Utsav’ is to reach out to our customers and strengthen our position as one of the best travel retail destinations,” said Hyderabad Duty Free Retail Chairman SGK Kishore.
“We have also undertaken several new initiatives such as coming out with customised offerings, tie-ups with Telugu NRI (Non Resident Indian) associations, improving our price competitiveness, and store upgrades.
