The contract covers over 10,900sq ft and includes the renovation of six stores. Fraport USA manages and develops retail and food & beverage operations at the airport.
Brands represented in the contract include Hudson, Sarris Candies, Dunkin’ Donuts and Ink by Hudson – a contemporary and indie-inspired bookstore concept.
“Pittsburgh International Airport is committed to providing passengers with an enhanced travel retail and food & beverage experience,” said Allegheny County Airport Authority Chief Commercial Officer Eric Sprys.
“Creating a Sense of Place is a major initiative as we move forward. We’re happy to build on our relationship with Hudson Group and Fraport through our shared vision to provide travellers with an unparalleled mix of local and national brands.”
Hudson Group has operated at Pittsburgh Airport since 2003. President and Chief Executive Officer Joseph DiDomizio said: “We are thrilled to support the Allegheny County Airport Authority and Fraport as they continue to transform the concessions and retail programme and cannot wait for passengers and visitors alike to enjoy our renovated store concepts.”
