HMSHost to open new Urban Markets and Starbucks units at Seattle-Tacoma Airport

USA. Travel restaurateur HMSHost and joint venture partner Heigh Connects LLC have been awarded a ten-year contract to run two new Urban Markets and two new Starbucks units at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

As reported, the airport has revealed a new dining and retail line-up as part of a much-changed concession programme.

The outlets are located in Concourse D and in the pre-security baggage claim area.

Seattle-Tacoma Airport’s retail and dining offer will be transformed with a new concessions line-up, which features HMSHost and partners

“Having access to world-class food and drink options is important to travellers in all areas of an airport. HMSHost is excited to expand the availability of Starbucks beverages and food as well as our own Urban Market to meet the demands of travellers in Sea-Tac Airport,” said HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Stephen Douglas. “Heigh Connects LLC will be an instrumental part of implementing these new options and we thank them for their partnership.”

HMSHost opened the first Starbucks airport location more than 25 years ago at Sea-Tac Airport. It has since been a leading licensing partner of the brand with nearly 400 locations in travel venues today.
