HMSHost celebrates “significant milestone” in UK strategy with opening of KFC at Manchester Airport

UK. HMSHost International has opened the first airside KFC at a UK airport – in Manchester’s Terminal Three.

The outlet is located in the departures lounge and has created 50 new jobs for local people.

“This agreement with KFC marks a significant milestone in our strategy to increase our footprint in the rapidly expanding and dynamic UK marketplace through a strong international brand,” said HMSHost International CEO Walter Seib. “We’re delighted to open this popular concept as part of the ongoing development of Terminal Three.”

KFC is available in 118 different countries – but the Manchester Airport outlet is the first airside in a UK airport

Manchester Airport Commercial Director Stephen Turner commented: “We are delighted to launch the first ever KFC airside at a UK airport and I am sure the outlet will be incredibly popular with our passengers in Terminal Three. The well-known iconic brand will offer passengers something different, and complements the other food & beverage offering within the terminal.”

KFC’s full menu is available from 4am until the last flight. Its breakfast menu is also being served until 10am, and includes the Chicken AM – a crispy original recipe fillet, free range egg, bacon and cheese, topped off with a hash brown and coffee.

HMSHost already operates four other stores in Manchester Airport Terminal Three, which handles over 8.5 million passengers per year.
