HMSHost campaign shares the love in lead-up to Valentine’s Day

USA. What does love mean to you? That’s what global restaurateur HMSHost is asking travellers in a new campaign leading up to Valentine’s Day (14 February).

The ‘Share Your Love’ promotion at selected airports across North America encourages travellers to share their thoughts about love on large 8ft chalkboards. Stories can also be posted on social media using #HMSHostLove.

Love is…. young travellers share their thoughts at Tampa International Airport

Travellers sharing their messages will receive a premium dark chocolate bar, a Valentine’s Day card and a -15% discount at participating HMSHost dining locations. One lucky traveller will win a getaway for two valued at US$1,000.

“In the unique setting of an airport, this campaign is a great opportunity to interact with our guests and celebrate together the best of humanity” – HMSHost Vice President of Marketing & Communications Atousa Ghoreichi

“HMSHost wants to extend the positive guest engagement from the restaurant to the terminal and vice versa by encouraging travellers to chalk messages of positivity and inspiration on the giant board,” the company stated.

The chalkboard messages, and those shared on social media, will be compiled into a video montage. The video is set for release in time for Valentine’s Day to highlight what loves means to travellers and the airport community.

“We’re inviting travellers across the country to pause and reflect on and share what inspires them. Whether it’s a love of travel or food or even a love story, everyone has an idea of what love means to them,” said HMSHost Vice President of Marketing & Communications Atousa Ghoreichi.

“In the unique setting of an airport, this campaign is a great opportunity to interact with our guests and celebrate together the best of humanity. Inspirational conversations among complete strangers at our chalkboards make us realise how much good we all actually have in common.”

Special events at the airports over the next month will include live local music. Contest rules and details are available here.
