HMSHost associate Billi Jo Hutches claims Louisville award for service excellence

USA. HMSHost associate Billi Jo Hutches has claimed a Louisville Tourism Recognition of Service Excellence (ROSE) Award.

The accolade scheme honours exemplary front-line employees in the local hospitality industry.

Hutches was one of 49 finalists at an award ceremony earlier this month and excelled in the Dining category. Other categories included attractions, accommodation, behind the scenes, transportation and volunteers.

Hutches has been with HMSHost for five years and works at the Book & Bourbon Southern Kitchen in Louisville International Airport.

HMSHost described Hutches’ award as “well-deserved recognition for her dedication and effective approach to serving travellers.”

The company said the award adds to Book & Bourbon Southern Kitchen’s accomplishments such as becoming an official stop on Kentucky’s Urban Bourbon Trail. “Billi Jo is no doubt a part of why Book & Bourbon Southern Kitchen has enjoyed accolades and industry awards,” HMSHost added.

Louisville Tourism President & CEO Karen Williams commented: “This is an opportunity to publicly show our business community partners appreciation and thank them for the contributions they make to our city’s economic success. The travel and tourism industry supports over 27,000 jobs in the Louisville area, creating an estimated economic impact of $3.5 billion with over 24 million visits annually.
