HMSHost and Delaware North joint ventures chosen for New Orleans International food & beverage operations

USA. A partnership between Delaware North and Chase Catering and Concessions and an HMSHost and Coaxum Enterprises alliance are the recommended bidders for the food & beverage concessions at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International’s new terminal.

The selection committe’s recommendations must still be approved by the New Orleans Aviation Board and the New Orleans City Council.

The new terminal is scheduled to open on 1 October 2018.

Delaware North and Chase Catering and Concessions’ offering features:

  • Leah’s Kitchen, developed by Edgar ‘Dooky’ Chase IV.
  • Folse Market, by chef John Folse. It will serve seafood, po’boys, charcuterie, coffee and wine.
  • Bar Sazerac, featuring New Orleans-style cocktails.
  • Heritage School of Music Stage and Wine Bar. Live music produced in partnership with the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Foundation will be played at the venue.
  • NOLA Food Expo, a food hall featuring MoPho chef Michael Gulotta, Dook’s Burgers & Brews and Ye Olde College Inn.
  • Pizza Domenica brings together chefs John Besh and Alon Shaya and partner Octavio Mantilla for an airport extension of the city’s pizza restaurant.
  • Johnny Sanchez by chefs John Besh and Aaron Sanchez is an extension of their downtown Mexican restaurant.
  • Angelo Brocato (gelato).
  • PJ’s Coffee.

HMSHost’s offering features:

  • Mondo, an extension of chef Susan Spicer’s Lakeview restaurant that serves global cuisine.
  • Cure, a second location of the downtown bar founded by mixologist Neal Bodenheimer.
  • The Munch Factory is an extension of husband and wife Jordan and Alexis Ruiz’s restaurant.
  • Emeril’s Table, from chef Emeril Lagasse.
  • Willie Mae’s is a fried chicken restaurant founded by Willie Mae Seaton.
  • National chains Auntie Anne’s, Starbucks, Burger King, The Great American Bagel, and Panda Express.

SSP America, Paradies Lagardère and a HBF MSY joint venture were unsuccessful with their bids.
