USA. Super Duper Burgers is the latest “mouthwatering” addition to the food & beverage offer at San Francisco International Airport (SFO).
Opened on Monday by HMSHost, in collaboration with local restaurateur partner April Spears, it marks the first airport location for the burger specialist.
Based in the Bay Area, Super Duper Burgers has seen significant domestic success since it launched in 2010. This new space, in Terminal 3, Boarding Area F, is the company’s 13th location.
Super Duper Burgers is committed to working “sustainably, locally, and with an unwavering commitment to quality” in terms of both food and business. Ingredients are locally sourced from carefully selected partners, as are the materials and décor found in its outlets.
Menu highlights include signature burgers made from vegetarian-fed beef from local ranches or local free-range chicken burgers, as well as organic veggie burgers. Buns and ciabatta rolls are baked daily in house, and condiments and pickles are also specially made.
Super Duper also offers a breakfast menu for those taking an early flight, featuring a variety of options including mini donuts, breakfast sandwiches and, of course, coffee.
HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Amy Dunne commented: “The name says it all. Burgers and sandwiches are popular choices for airport travellers and homegrown Super Duper Burgers is taking it to a new level for our traveling guests.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the San Francisco International Airport team on delivering the most in-demand food choices to SFO world travellers.”
As well as delivering on taste, Super Duper Burgers’ motto of “fast food burgers, slow food values” is aligned with the SFO vision to “provide good, clean, and fair food which has been responsibly sourced and deliciously prepared,” said HMSHost, adding that all Super Duper packaging is 100% compostable.
