HMSHost adds CREAM to F&B options at Ted Stevens Anchorage International

USA. HMSHost has teamed up with ice cream specialist CREAM to open two outlets at Alaska’s Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.

The pre- and post-security units, which mark CREAM’s debut in airport food & beverage, are operated in partnership with Bryner Chen of Chen Alaska.

CREAM (aka Cookies Rule Everything Around Me) was co-founded in Berkeley, California, by father-and-son duo Jimmy and Gus Shamieh. The family-owned business offers made-to-order ice cream sandwiches of two warm cookies, brownies or fresh-off-the-griddle waffles with CREAM’s ice cream. Flavours include Birthday Cake, Cookies & Cream and Salted Caramel, with an option to add Gummi Bears, mini chocolate chips or a variety of other toppings.

Offering an “unexpected experience”: CREAM opens at Ted Stevens Anchorage International.

The two airport locations also offer CREAM floats, malts, milkshakes, sundaes, waffle cones, cookies and sandwiches.

CREAM Co-Founder and President Gus Shamieh said: “We could not be more excited to work with airport dining powerhouse HMSHost to give travellers across the globe the opportunity to enjoy our handcrafted ice cream creations.”

Sweet treats: Milkshakes and malts are included in the CREAM line-up.

Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport Concessions Manager Javier Robinson added: “We’re excited to work with HMSHost to continue developing additional food & beverage options to the travelling public and our residents who visit us.”

HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Stephen Douglas said the new outlets offered an “unexpected experience” at the airport. “We are thrilled to work with the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport team to introduce this fast-growing ice cream shop for Alaskan travellers to enjoy all year long.”

Handcrafted ice cream sandwiches are a CREAM speciality.
