Helena Rubinstein Travel Retail Asia Pacific has teamed up with leading Chinese female education platform Ruiwen She Power to host a Powercell event at the Sanya EDITION.
The event sought to empower young women in Hainan through a career building workshop on 28 June, in an homage to Founder Helena Rubinstein’s own inspiring journey as a female entrepreneur.
The ‘Beauty is Power’ workshop was attended by 20 women from local universities in Hainan and viewed by many more on social media. Its mission was to equip young women with the skills they need to dream big and succeed in their respective careers.
Activities included a professional beauty workshop, business portrait services and career coaching sessions by recruitment professionals.
The Powercell event space, spanning 25,000sq ft, also hosted 150 travellers at the Sanya EDITION from 25 to 28 June.
The space extended to a French-style Helena Rubinstein garden glasshouse, which highlighted the brand’s best-selling Powercell Youth Reinforcing Serum. The glasshouse was characterised by deep green arches, filled with gold highlights and plenty of luscious foliage.
The activation immersed visitors in the Helena Rubinstein brand universe and showcased its plant-powered beauty innovations. It also put a special focus on the travel retail exclusive Powercell Youth Reinforcing Serum Duo Set.
Visitors joined experiences such as a beauty masterclass, 30-minute hand massage using Helena Rubinstein products, one-on-one skincare consultations and even professional photo shoots.
Helena Rubinstein Travel Retail Asia Pacific General Manager Petrina Kho said: “At Helena Rubinstein, we are fully committed to women empowerment. Our collaboration with Ruiwen She Power is a perfect demonstration of how we boldly push forward to shape a more meaningful and aspirational future through beauty for young women.
“Through our workshop with 20 young female future leaders, we hope they will inspire more women to work towards a future with opportunities opened according to talent, not gender.”
“For many young Chinese female students and fresh graduates, finding their own career paths can be confusing and often times challenging,” commented Ruiwen She Power CEO Daisy Qiu.
“For that reason, Helena Rubinstein Travel Retail Asia Pacific has done something truly special today in giving back to young talents in Hainan. It’s been a pleasure for Ruiwen She Power to support them for this cause, and we hope to provide more opportunities like this across other regions.”
