Heinemann loyalty programme attracts 20,000 members in Australia

GERMANY. Heinemann Australia has attracted over 20,000 members to its loyalty programme, ‘Heinemann & Me’ since its launch in April at Sydney Airport. A major campaign to mark the launch culminated in one customer winning a Porsche Cayman.

Anyone signing up between 27 April and 30 September entered the running to win the Porsche, which was showcased on the shop floor in Terminal 1 during the promotional period.

Heinemann Australia Managing Director Constantin Wiesmann recently presented the keys to winner Gillian from the Central Coast, New South Wales. She was arriving home from her first overseas vacation in Bali when she signed up to Heinemann & Me and entered the competition.

The 20,000-plus new members who signed up during the promotional period received a range of store discounts. They also had the opportunity to participate in a ‘spinning wheel’ promotion with additional in-store discounts and rewards. The total prize pool, including the Porsche, was over A$130,000 (US$97,378).

“Overall it was a highly successful start to our loyalty programme here in Sydney. I would like to thank all our involved colleagues for the joint success,” said Wiesmann.

“Being a newcomer in the Australian retail market, we are looking at all opportunities to build a relationship between Heinemann and the Australian shopper. Heinemann & Me is a way for us to show loyalty to our customers, and offer them a programme that benefits them globally. We want to get to know customers and improve the shopping experience constantly.”

Heinemann & Me has around 500,000 members worldwide, most of them in Germany.
