Heinemann and Beam Suntory partner to provide a ‘unique glimpse into the world of Bowmore’

Beam Suntory and Heinemann have joined forces to release two exclusive single cask Bowmore whiskies – Bowmore 1997 and Bowmore 1995.

These whiskies have been aged for 22 and 24 years respectively in Bowmore’s No.1 Vaults, the oldest Scotch maturation warehouse in the world.

Both expressions have been full matured in first-fill bourbon hogshead casks with their respective cask number printed on the bottle label.

Bowmore 1997, matured and nurtured for 22 years, showcases deep layers of vanilla, peat smoke and praline. Bowmore 1995, which has spent 24 years in cask, offers aromas of rich honey, citrus fruits and cocoa.

These new two single malts are set to appeal to both collectors and global travellers seeking something different and exclusive, Beam Suntory said.

Only 236 bottles of Bowmore 1997 will be available at Heinemann’s Frankfurt Airport stores from 21 November, featuring a €399.90 RRSP.

Meanwhile, 234 bottles of Bowmore 1995 will be available exclusively from Heinemann’s Istanbul Airport operation from 28 November. RRSP is €499.

Each bottle is housed in a bespoke presentation box featuring an embossing of the skylines of the respective city. They represent the main landmarks of Istanbul and Frankfurt.

Beam Suntory International Global Travel Retail Global Marketing Director Ed Stening said: “Bowmore is one of the most collectable and iconic whisky brands in the world and both of these exceptional single malts display the signature rich fruit and balanced smoke that makes Bowmore famous.

“As with any single cask, we’ll never be able to recreate the exact profile again so these prized bottles offer a unique glimpse into the world of Bowmore that only a select handful of world travellers will get to experience.

“We are very excited to be working with Heinemann to offer these brilliant single cask expressions exclusively to their customers.”
