Heineken extends premium beer pouring contract onboard KLM and Air France

Heineken Global Duty Free has been awarded a five-year contract extension by KLM and Air France which will see Heineken continue to be the exclusive premium beer offering onboard the airlines’ flights.

The pouring contract came into effect on 1 March, and Heineken said the deal gave it visibility to a total of 86 million global passengers per year across both airlines.

Heineken Global Duty Free also announced that a new dedicated Heineken branded bar will open in the KLM Crown Lounge (non-Schengen) at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol this summer.

The bar will offer KLM and Sky Team Gold and Platinum passengers Heineken, Heineken 0.0 and a selected range of Heineken’s international portfolio.

From October 2019, Heineken 0.0 will be available onboard KLM flights.

Heineken Global Duty Free Global Account Manager Airlines Christian Klimpke commented: “We are delighted to have secured this extension with KLM for the Heineken brand, enabling two iconic Dutch brands to put their strengths together to surprise and excite consumers around the world.”
