UK. Harrods is to open a mini-department store in Gatwick Airport’s South Terminal on Thursday 1 August.

The 6,000 sq ft site is the biggest Harrods outlet yet at the airport, representing a significant expansion on the current gift shops in the North and South Terminals.

As reported, the Harrods store will be an anchor development of the new retail line-up currently taking shape in the revamped International Departures Lounge at the South Terminal. A total of 22 new stores are expected to be open by the end of the year.

The Harrods store will focus on luxury fashion, jewellery and accessories, and will bring a number of brands and products to Gatwick for the first time, including Michael Kors, Monica Vinader, Love Moschino, and Armani Jeans.
