Harrods opens first store at Hong Kong International Airport

HONG KONG. Leading department store Harrods has opened its first Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) store in partnership with Antares Cheng’s King Power Group (Hong Kong).

The Terminal 1 store opened on 18 June and operates in 40sq m of space under a three-year contract.

King Power Group (Hong Kong) also operates Harrods stores at Singapore Changi Airport as well as at Macau International Airport.

King Power Group (Hong Kong) Managing Director Travel Retail & Duty Free Sunil Tuli added: “As a company, we have had an excellent working relationship with Harrods for a number of years, and have been running Harrods stores in Singapore and Macau airports. The opportunity to do the same at Hong Kong Airport is something we were very keen on, and are fortunate to have got this location for this shop. The store will sell Harrods branded products like food and confectionery, toys and souvenirs. There has been a lot of interest and a very good response to the opening.”
