Halewood Artisanal Spirits strengthens travel retail distribution

Leading independent UK distiller Halewood Artisanal Spirits has secured new distribution partnerships with Actium and Wine Classics International.

The company said its collaboration with Miami-based Actium will significantly increase the distribution of Halewood’s core portfolio across North and Latin America while Wine Classics International targets Canadian duty free.

Halewood Artisanal Spirits’ portfolio includes Whitley Neill Gin, JJ Whitley vodka and Dead Man’s Fingers rum, along with artisanal whiskies including Crabbie’s, Samuel Gelston’s and Aber Falls.

The portfolio is rolling out across selected travel retail outlets in the Americas now.

Halewood has also bolstered its global travel retail (GTR) team with the appointment of Tara Viesnik into a new role as Global Travel Retail Manager, supporting the company’s Head of Global Travel Retail Eamon Prunty.

“Following successful growth in GTR pre-COVID, we now have a fantastic opportunity to start growing our artisanal spirits portfolio globally again with the re-emergence of the sector,” Prunty said.

“Appointing Actium and Wine Classics will be pivotal to support the next stage of growth in North America, Latin America and Canada and we look forward to working together. The GTR team are also happy to welcome Tara to the team to help support this ongoing expansion.”

Actium Director of the Beverage Division Louis Chaignaud commented: “We at Actium are pleased to represent Halewood’s portfolio in Americas travel retail. After two years working with the awarded brands Whitley Neill, The Pogues, Dead Man’s Fingers and the rest of Halewood’s portfolio in Latin America and Caribbean domestic markets, we are convinced that it is the right time to build the brands.

“We specialise in premium spirits and the Halewood portfolio fits right in. Our regional team is already in discussion with various travel retail operators to expand listings in the channel.”

“Great brands and exceptional people equal a great partnership and building brands is our strength with the Canadian duty free market. Our duty free partners will also be thrilled to see a premium portfolio of brands that will resonate with their consumers. We are looking forward to a long, prosperous partnership with the Halewood team.”
