Grab partners with LevelUp to increase pre-order dining options at USA airports

USA. Airport e-commerce app Grab has entered a new partnership with LevelUp, a mobile engagement solutions provider for the restaurant industry.

The alliance aims to increase mobile pre-order at airport restaurants across the USA. The app has integrated hundreds of menus from popular airport restaurants such as Chili’s, Einstein Bros. Bagels, TGI Fridays and Wolfgang Puck Express.

The service is now available across 25 airports, with the partnership aiming to grow that number.

“With over 719 million domestic passengers passing through airports in 2016, restaurants and other food kiosks in airports are some of the most logical venues to support mobile order ahead,” said LevelUp Strategic Partnerships Manager Matt Colfax.

“Travellers want to enjoy a made-to-order meal, but they often do not have time to wait in line or wait for food to be prepared. This partnership is just another stepping stone in making technology and apps work to make consumers’ lives easier in any possible area.”

Grab’s technology integrates with restaurant POS systems such as NCR Aloha and Oracle Micros. The restaurants will have the added benefit of exposure to LevelUp’s network of partners, including Facebook, Chase Pay and Yelp, among others.

“We are excited by the continued growth of the Grab platform with new partners like LevelUp,” said Grab Chief Experience Officer Jeff Livney.

“Together we can reach busy travellers on the go while improving the airport experience and reducing anxiety on the day of travel.”
