Godiva Chocolatier has opened its first marine travel retail café onboard Cunard’s recently refurbished Queen Mary 2 ocean liner.
Queen Mary 2 set sail on 23 June on her first voyage from Southampton to New York following an investment of around £90 million (US$120 million).
The Godiva Café, created in partnership with Cunard, serves a range of chocolates, patisseries, chocolate drinks and ice creams. The menu includes Godiva favourites as well as exclusives and recipes developed in collaboration with Godiva Chef Chocolatier Philippe Daue and Cunard executive twin Chefs Nicholas and Mark Oldroyd.
Passengers onboard the Queen Mary 2 can purchase the Godiva Royal Gift Box, a collection of 30 chocolate pieces presented in a brown suede coffret and decorated with the Godiva emblem.
Godiva General Manager Global Travel Retail Matthew Hodges, who visited the Queen Mary 2 prior to her departure for New York, commented: “We are delighted to launch our very first marine café onboard Queen Mary 2 in collaboration with Cunard.
