Gilly Gray to leave Melbourne Airport after 15 years

Gilly Gray will oversee the transition to a new General Manager Retail & Car Parks Manager before her departure at the end of June

AUSTRALIA. Gilly Gray, General Manager Retail and Car Parks at Melbourne Airport, today announced her planned departure from airport company Asia Pacific Airports (APAC).

“After more than 15 years at APAC, I have decided to leave the company to spend more time with my young family in the short term,” Gray announced in a statement to colleagues and friends in the industry.

“The aviation industry and the airport environment have both changed dramatically since I began and I am proud to say that APAC’s retail and car parks businesses have also grown dramatically in that time.”

Gray has earned widespread respect for her role in the commercial development of Melbourne Airport.

Gray will remain with Melbourne Airport until the end of June 2013, and will work over the intervening period to develop the strategy for future retail and car park development.

“To ensure a smooth transition, a new General Manager Retail & Car Parks will be recruited during this period,” Gray said.
