Georgia Garinois-Melenikiotou to retire from The Estée Lauder Companies

Georgia Garinois-Melenikiotou will be retiring from The Estée Lauder Companies, effective 1 July

The Estée Lauder Companies Executive Vice President Corporate Marketing Georgia Garinois-Melenikiotou will be retiring from the company, effective 1 July.

Garinois-Melenikiotou joined the company’s Executive Leadership Team in 2010 and was instrumental in creating the global beauty company’s Corporate Marketing division.

In this role, she leveraged digital-first marketing techniques to implement her strategic vision, utilised consumer insights to increase local relevance and deployed marketing analytics tools to optimise personalisation and customer loyalty.

Garinois-Melenikiotou also implemented consumer-centric marketing strategies across the company by deploying several organisational tools. These include segmentation and personalisation, claims and storytelling, marketing planning, A&P effectiveness, opportunity assessment and marketing analytics visualisation.

An avid believer in the power of digital, Garinois-Melenikiotou partnered with leading digital players such as Google and Facebook to launch cutting-edge social media campaigns. She also spearheaded influencer marketing campaigns and led relationships with esteemed media partners.

Georgia Garinois-Melenikiotou received the 2019 Fulbright Award for Global Business Leadership

One of Garinois-Melenikiotou’s key accomplishments during her tenure at The Estée Lauder Companies was creating the Global Marketing Symposium at Wharton business school. The symposium is a yearly event, where The Estée Lauder Companies executives would gather to share ideas and develop new marketing tools and capabilities.

Outside of the company, she received the 2019 Fulbright Award for Global Business Leadership. She also continues to serve as VIP Advisory Board member on the European Professional Women’s Network and appeared on Ad Age’s ‘Women to Watch.’ She is also a Board Member of Bacardi Limited, Almirall Pharmaceuticals and MIT Sloan School.
