Gemma Whelehan resigns as Managing Director at Kappé International

NETHERLANDS. Kappé International Managing Director Gemma Whelehan (left) has resigned from her post, which she held for the past 15 years. She plans to relocate to her native Ireland to pursue other interests. She will remain in a non-executive role with the Dutch travel retailer, which runs the P&C and sunglasses concessions at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Owner and Chairman Jacques Parson will take over her responsibilities.

In a statement to the Kappé board, Whelehan said she was grateful for the opportunity to work with many excellent colleague in her time at the company. She noted in particular the trust that Parson placed in her to lead the family company.

Parson in turn thanked Whelehan for her contribution to the business, highlighting her talents and her respect and fairness to others.
