CHINA. Hainan Development Holdings-owned Global Premium Duty Free (GDF) Plaza and Cognac house Rémy Martin yesterday (6 September) held a VIP members-only event within the GDF VIP Room to celebrate the approaching Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.
During the salon event, GDF VIP members learned about Rémy Martin’s Cognac quality and heritage through tasting, cocktail-making DIY, mooncake DIY and a range of other activities.
Rémy Martin, founded in 1724, is one of the world’s great Cognac houses, famed for its Fine Champagne Cognacs (a blend of eau-de-vie from the Grande and Petite Champagne crus)

GDF Plaza opened the VIP Room in its Mova Mall, Haikou store on 20 May this year. Its Platinum members or above can enjoy a range of luxury services there, including spa treatments, wine tastings, flower arrangement DIY sessions, fragrance masterclasses and more.
By the end of the second quarter of 2022, GDF Plaza had attracted more than one million VIP members.
“The salon jointly held by GDF Plaza and Rémy Martin will enhance the cooperation between the two parties and further expand our membership system,” GDF Plaza said.
