Galeries Lafayette captures 11-store watches contract at Paris CDG and Orly airports

FRANCE. Galeries Lafayette has won a tender to manage 11 luxury watch stores at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly airports. The contract with Paris Aéroport runs to 2026.

Through its watch retail brand Royal Quartz Paris, the company has managed stores at the two major Paris airports since 1995 and won a previous multi-store tender in 2011.

The company will reveal a new brand at the airports: Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz Paris. It noted: “This new identity combines the reputation and international influence of the Galeries Lafayette brand – as an Ambassador of the French Art of Living and Fashion – with the historical expertise of Royal Quartz Paris in watchmaking and travel retail industries.

‘Window on Paris:’ The new concept to be deployed at the Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz Paris stores at Paris’ two major airports

Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz Paris Managing Director Daphné de Jenlis said: “We are very pleased that Paris Aéroport has renewed its trust in Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz Paris as its preferred watchmaking business partner, and to dedicate our know-how to serve a shared ambition: making Paris, and France, the top destination for travellers worldwide. Our collaboration with Paris Aéroport gives Galeries Lafayette-Royal Quartz Paris a new impetus to reinvent our commercial offer, optimise client services and develop a new exclusive store concept around a typical Parisian shopping experience: Window on Paris.”
