From Rome to Sanya – reimagined Bvlgari boutique opens with CDFG in Haitang Bay

CHINA. Italian luxury house Bvlgari yesterday (28 September) reopened its boutique at China Duty Free Group’s (CDFG) Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex following an extensive renovation.

The new-look store is the only Bvlgari boutique in Hainan and offers an expansive assortment of luxury items.

The newer and larger Bvlgari store design is a refined architectural concept developed for the brand by internationally acclaimed architect Peter Marino. It is designed to embody pure Roman style, merging the timeless yet contemporary vision of Rome with the warm and relaxed soul of the Eternal City, CDFG said.

The shop front has a sleek and stylish black portal in grand antique marble, while the giant show window in saffron brings the warmth of the apricot sun of Rome, adding a splash of magnetic and exuberant colour.

A decorative mesh with a pattern inspired by the Pantheon, one of the Italian capital’s most famous buildings from the Roman era, built around 2,000 years ago, incorporates another connection with the city to the design concept.

Circles and squares in the Pantheon’s floor are used together with the eight-pointed star featured in the Condotti flagship store in Rome, creating a Roman-inspired design unique to Bvlgari.

The new boutique at Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex represents a significant milestone for Bvlgari in Sanya, CDFG said. “Combining the exquisite jewellery from Bvlgari, and the market-leading retail innovation of CDFG, the new boutique will certainly create a brilliant achievement in the near future,” the company added.

Through an extensive assortment of Bvlgari items, a more luxurious shopping environment, and excellent customer services, the upgraded boutique will offer discerning consumers a unique 360-degree shopping experience, CDFG said.
