French inflight concessionaire Logair becomes DutyFly Solutions

FRANCE/INTERNATIONAL. French inflight concessionaire Logair, a joint venture between Aelia/Aeroboutique Inflight Retail and Servair, has been rebranded as DutyFly Solutions. The retailer’s CEO Jean-Luc Chassigneux explained the change, which takes effect from today, in a letter to business partners. The Moodie Report understands that buying for DutyFly Solutions will continue to be handled by Aeroboutique.

DutyFly Solutions is the long-time retail concessionaire onboard Air France. Stakeholder Aeroboutique also operates inflight retail for Alitalia, Air Seychelles, Air Caraïbes, Iberia, Czech Airlines, Transavia, Carpatair, Wizzair, CamairCo and Air Gabon.

The change of name crowns a busy year for DutyFly Solutions and Aeroboutique following its development this summer of a new IT system governing the company’s front- and back-office processes. The company said the new system allows for more detailed sales reports, and enhanced management of stocks and of Customs issues. It also allows for an “almost unlimited programme of promotions” plus management of a wider variety of crew incentives.

DutyFly Solutions also claims to be the industry’s only concessionaire to operate a fully secure, computerised sales trolley allowing “undoubted reliability and traceability”.
