Francois Bourienne steps into key commercial role at Abu Dhabi Airports

Francois Bourienne: Much-respected in the airport commercial world

UAE. Francois Bourienne has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer & Executive Committee Member at Abu Dhabi Airports, operator of Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The much-respected Bourienne was formerly Chief Commercial Officer at AGS Airports in the UK,  a position he stepped down from last October.

Bourienne, who is also Chair of the UK Travel Retail Forum (a role from which he will step down at the next AGM on 9 July), joined the business initially as Commercial Director at Glasgow Airport ten years ago and has been a key figure in the commercial growth of the group. Before joining the airport company he worked for over four years with The Nuance Group in sales and operations roles.

Abu Dhabi Airports owns and operates five airports: Abu Dhabi International Airport, Al Ain International Airport, Al Bateen Executive Airport, Delma Island Airport and Sir Bani Yas Island Airport.

Abu Dhabi Airports Company is also managing the expansion and redevelopment of Abu Dhabi International Airport’s long-awaited Midfield Terminal Complex (MTC) as part of Abu Dhabi Vision 2030.

Abu Dhabi Airports is currently developing a series of commercial districts, subsidiaries and brands that provide necessary services across its airports, including the management of Abu Dhabi Freezones.
