Former Premier League footballer Jan Åge Fjørtoft to speak at Nordic Travel Retail Seminar in May

NORDIC REGION. Former professional footballer Jan Åge Fjørtoft will be the inspirational keynote speaker at this year’s Nordic Travel Retail Seminar.

The event will take place at Scandic Holmenkollen Park in Oslo on 23 May.

Scandic Holmenkollen Park is located 350 metres above Oslo, offering views over Norway’s capital city.

The event’s theme is ‘culture’ and how it is a part of and affects business, encompassing performance culture and the commercial value of culture.

Jan Åge Fjørtoft once played for then-Premier League teams such as Swindon Town and Middlesbrough, and is now an accomplished speaker.

Fjørtoft played in the English Premier League and the German Bundesliga and represented Norway’s international team 71 times. He is an experienced speaker on themes of performance and performance culture. He is also known for heading broadcasts of Champions League football and other sportscasts.

Morten T. Hansen, a management professor at University of California, Berkeley and co-author of New York Times bestseller Great by Choice, will be the keynote speaker at the event. Ranked as one of the world’s most influential management experts by Thinkers50, Hansen is also a former professor at Harvard Business School and INSEAD.

Online registration for the event will open soon, with early bird rates of €248 available for Nordic Travel Retail Group members, and €396 for non-members.

On-site registration will begin at 10.30am, with the opening conference session from 11.30am. The Seminar will be moderated, as in previous years, by The Moodie Davitt Report President Dermot Davitt.
