Foreo strengthens Southeast Asia travel retail presence through Eraman partnership

Foreo joins the strong line-up of beauty brands at Eraman’s KLIA Main Terminal Level 5 store

MALAYSIA.  Swedish beauty tech and wellness house Foreo has struck a new partnership with Eraman at the Malaysian travel retailer’s store in the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Main Terminal Building.

The Level 5 store attracts both incoming international and domestic travellers.

As reported, Foreo has “hit the ground running” as travelling consumers return to the wider Southeast Asia region. The brand’s latest collaboration with Eraman extends its network in Malaysia following earlier listings with Malaysia Airlines and Dufry at Genting Highlands.

Foreo’s new counter features the brand’s three best-selling items in the country: the Luna 3 and Luna Mini 3 facial cleansing brushes and the Bear.

Other products highlighted include the UFO 2 with accompanying masks, the Bear Mini and key items from Foreo’s skincare line-up such as the Micro-Foam Cleanser and the Serum Serum Serum.

Foreo said that Malaysia offers “some of the most favourable conditions for tourism recovery in Southeast Asia”.

Fully-vaccinated travellers are no longer required to observe a quarantine period upon arrival, but are subject to a PCR test two days before departure and an RTK test upon arrival.

Malaysia’s Ministry of Tourism laid out the roadmap to boost domestic and international tourism earlier this year. Muultiple discounts and rebates offered for tourists form part of a new organisational strategy spanning the next five years.

Malaysian borders officially opened to international tourists on 1 April and the country has welcomed over 1 million international tourists since. However, domestic tourism continues to drive recovery, with Malaysia poised to attract over 2 million tourists this fiscal year with a contribution of RM8.6 billion (US$1.96 billion).

Foreo Global Travel Retail Director Gary Leong said: “Malaysia has long been in our sights for further expansion into Asia, and this partnership has been in the works with delays due to the pandemic.

“We are thrilled to have finally inked this deal with Eraman, allowing us to expand our offerings to the Malaysian market. With the Malaysian borders opening recently, we are delighted to showcase Foreo customers far and near. We are confident that our positioning with Eraman will be very well received and foresee bigger things in the future.”
