Foreo becomes official beauty devices provider to Hainan Expo and launches exclusive Luna series to celebrate

CHINA. Swedish beauty-tech giant Foreo has become the official Beauty Devices Provider for the first China International Consumer Products Expo (Hainan Expo) due to take place in Haikou on 7-10 May.

To honour the Expo’s opening and with the aim of strengthening the concept of green consumption and the ‘green exhibition’ philosophy upon which the event is centred, Foreo has designed an exclusive Luna series.

The special edition features the mascot of the consumer fair, Yuan Xiao, against a backdrop of the Hainan’s signature tropical elements. As reported, Yuan Xiao was created based on the Hainan gibbon – the world’s rarest primate – which is unique to the island. The gibbon also embodies the organiser’s sustainable development concept and green exhibition.

Dubbed ‘Lantern Festival’, the name highlights the Hainan Expo’s festive atmosphere and the grand reunion of boutiques and brands from all over the world at such a well-attended showpiece event.

In order to better reflect the symbolic significance of the Expo, Foreo chose to incorporate the special edition into a tropical jungle setting, decorated with tropical fruits available in Hainan, alongside gibbons playing in their natural habitat.

The Luna series is available in vibrant sunflower yellow, designed to complement the image of Yuan Xiao.

The Luna series special edition is not only available as a gift for guests, but serves as an exclusive incentive on Viya’s Livestream platform.

As reported, Viya, described by Foreo as China’s “uber influencer” has been appointed as the Hainan Expo’s Ambassador.

She will also be promoting the Luna series special edition during a live broadcast on Taobao, in order to boost awareness of the Expo.

In addition to in-depth cooperation with the Hainan Expo, Foreo will also exhibit a full line of products in Haikou travel retailer Global Duty Free Plaza’s exhibition stand, including the Luna facial cleanser series, the UFO facial masking devices, and the Bear microcurrent device.

“Our participation in this event is powered even further with our presence at the Global Duty Free Plaza exhibiting stand, and the new downtown duty free shop opened by Hainan Development Holdings (HDH) and Dufry,” commented Leong.

“With the global travel retail industry being affected by the pandemic, we are continuously looking for ways to strengthen our partnership with major retailers, while focusing largely on the development of domestic tourism. By participating in the first Hainan Expo, we hope to present the best of Foreo to consumers and partners across the country.”
