FoodieTrip introduces tasty tours of top travel destinations

foodietrip_logoINTERNATIONAL. New web-based tour operator FoodieTrip is offering travellers the opportunity to ‘eat like a local’ in 39 countries worldwide.

FoodieTrip aims to offer travellers local tastes and culinary experiences through a network of organised tours with ‘Foodie’ guides.

More than 190 tours in 39 countries can be booked online. The Foodietrip ‘menu’ includes the US$50 ‘Flatiron Food, History & Architecture’ tour in New York, US$29 ‘Star Struck Desserts’ in Los Angeles and US$75 ‘Trastevere Food Tour’ in Rome.

FoodieTrip CEO and Co-Founder Matan Magril noted that 81% of American travellers said food and drinks account for the largest expenditure while travelling. He said FoodieTrip taps into an estimated US$150 billion culinary tourism market by providing personalised, authentic food experiences led by local guides in more than 70 international cities.

The FoodieTrip tours mean that travellers can spend less time researching and more time tasting, Magril added.
