Fly High: Lotte Duty Free celebrates New Year and PyeongChang Winter Olympics in big new campaign

SOUTH KOREA. Lotte Duty Free will tomorrow unveil its first major consumer campaign of 2018, dually celebrating the new year and the PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games, which run from 9 to 25 February.

Lotte Duty Free, South Korea’s leading travel retailer, is an official sponsor of the Winter Olympics. The promotion, dubbed ‘Fly High’, offers a series of consumer incentives and rewards.

Ten lucky winners who buy online with Lotte Duty Free will win seven-day, five-night trips to Sydney, Australia. This prize, co-sponsored by consumer technology company Olympus and the Australian Tourism Authority, features visits to key tourist attractions in and around Sydney, including the Blue Mountains, Dubbo and Central Coast.

From 26 January, customers who spend over US$400 at any of Lotte’s shops in Seoul (Myeong-dong, World Tower, Coex), Busan or Jeju will receive the PyeongChang Winter Olympics mascot ‘Suhorang’ (a white tiger character).

Customers spending over US$300 using Visa card in the Myeong-dong, World Tower, Coex and Busan stores between 9 and 25 February will receive discount vouchers worth KW10,000 (US$9.40). PyeongChang Winter Olympics AD card holders will qualify for -15% discount coupons.

Customers making purchases of over US$2,000 at the Myeong-dong store will receive tickets to the musical Titanic. The same qualifying purchase earns shoppers at the World Tower and Coex stores tickets to the Billy Elliot musical.

At Incheon International Airport, Lotte Duty Free will present random gifts to customers who spend over US$100 on a single brand of cosmetics, liquor, tobacco or food.

From 19 January, the Myeong-dong, World Tower and Coex stores will offer tickets to the ‘You, My Muse – Van Gogh to Matisse’ exhibition for customers spending over US$600.
