Flemingo confirms Chandigarh Airport duty free contract win

INDIA. Flemingo International has won the duty free concession at Chandigarh International Airport, expanding on its dominance in Indian travel retail.

Chief Executive Atul Ahuja confirmed the capture of a three-year contract to The Moodie Davitt Report, which adds to Flemingo International’s existing operations at nine Indian international airports.

Flemingo will manage 598sq m of duty free space at the airport, which serves the northern Indian states of Punjab and Haryana, following a search by Airports Authority of India earlier this year.

A new terminal was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September 2015 but international flights only commenced last year.

The concession includes covers liquor, tobacco, beauty products, food & confectionery, watches and jewellery, consumer technology and destination merchandise categories.
