Five new pop-up concepts bring Côte d’Azur to life at Nice Airport

FRANCE. Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur Group has announced the launch of five  pop-up concepts that aim to diversify the commercial offer across Nice Côte d’Azur Airport’s terminals.

Terminal one will host minimalist watches and jewellery brand Daniel Wellington. In T2, pearl jewellery specialist Misaki Monaco and local food brands Koksi Gourmet and Monsieur Albert will feature, while luxury cosmetics brand Gold Element takes up residency in the Business Aviation Terminal.

Swedish brand Daniel Wellington fits the brief for innovative pop-up concepts set out by Nice Côte d’Azur Airport

The new openings are the culmination of a redesign programme started in 2014. This included new designs for the commercial offer and the expansion and redevelopment of security control and the departure lounges to offer passengers a simplified route as well as improved quality, simplicity and comfort.

The transformation of the two terminals is virtually complete, offering Nice Côte d’Azur Airport’s 13.3 million passengers “quality of service to the highest of international standards and an entirely new shopping experience” across over 80 outlets.

As part of the programme, the airport issued tenders for the pop-up spaces in November last year. It called for “the most surprising commercial experience” to be found in a European airport with a vision of “faire-vivre”, meaning to bring to life.

“For brands, pop-up stores are the perfect opportunity to reach airport customers and to test new market segments. These transient shops are similar to real communication tools offering very high visibility within the terminals, thanks to an ideal location amongst the flow of passengers,” the airport company stated.

Each year, the airport will change the pop-up stores to allow new concepts and new brands to benefit from the opportunity.
