FRANCE. The Tax Free World Association (TFWA) has announced a total of 7,531 delegates attended this year’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes, a +7% increase on 2018.
As reported, initial figures showed delegates from duty free or travel retail operators was flat compared to 2018 and there was a record number of people at the TFWA World Conference, while attendance at the Opening Cocktail was up substantially.
The week concluded with Le Premium Evening on the Thursday evening, which had over 800 attendees.
During the week, TFWA President Alain Maingreaud announced the association has reached an agreement with the Palais des Festivals for the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference to remain in Cannes for a further three years. Maingreaud said the agreement means the TFWA will be able to ensure stability and continuity for the event for the coming years.
